This is the 3rd iteration of a motorcycle adventure group event I set up several years ago. It's not a festival. It's smaller with a maximum 160 tickets available (half of which will probably be sold in the first week.) It’s a great privilege to be able to bring some of our motorcycle world's great speakers and talents for us all to enjoy and hopefully learn from. It’s a sort of adventure symposium, small enough so that everyone who wants to chat about something will get a chance to be heard. Audience participation with some of the best bike adventure related experts that can be sourced is what the Gathering is all about. It is run exclusively for riders who are passionate about their motorcycling and their adventuring and want to know more. Information from interesting angles, along with new ways to get the most out of our plans.
Whilst there will be several local bands to entertain, it's not about the music.
It is everything to do with learning how to be a better motorcycle adventurer and by booking into small focused but fun study groups - GPS, drone flying, Insta 360 camerawork, writing blogs, mechanicing, inspired travelers stories and more - it's hoped new skills can be learnt as we hear about fresh ideas from highly informed presenters actually doing something right now. We want to hear from real experts in their field offering essential and all round preparation for two wheeled travel.
Above all, it is held at Nick’s beautiful home in a stunning location which in itself is inspirational.
