Is the route busy?
There are short sections of open road, but we are in West Britain so the small 'A' roads are quieter than you might be used to. Much of the ride is along back roads, particularly the route on the Cader mountain road where there is hardly any traffic, just the sound of the wind and the baying of sheep. The beautiful route along the coast from Tywyn to Happy Valley has some cycle paths but it's back road riding wherever possible.
