The Pyrenean Project - July 2017, last few places.
The Pyrenean Project is a new idea from Nick Sanders and was massively popular in 2016. With BREXIT in mind ,this still allows us to ride on the continent ridiculously inexpensively. Added to his stable of world class expeditions, this high quality low cost venture is ideal for riders short of holiday time who wish to fit a real close-to-nature adventure into an already busy life. There will only be 3 weeks operating in 2017 and Weeks 2 and 4 are already full. From only £355.

Nestled into a beautiful, cute back to basics camping site - hot showers, flush loos, swimming pool - we have a maximum of 10 five metre wide luxury Bell tents (maximum 18 riders per week, 2 riders per tent). And this is the best bit - each tent is furnished like a 5 Star hotel room (minus the phone!), and yep, you get lightweight matting on the floor, the furnishing, the trimmings and all lamp-lit. Breakfast is included. You then get two riding days with Nick himself followed by three days self guided biking along roads so hidden, we didn't know they existed ... we do now!
We know the Pyrenees.
We know the best cafes.
We know the secret routes.

Based in Fillols near
July 8th - 30th 2017
A mere three miles from the campsite "Camping Les Sauterelles" in Fillols lies Villefranche-de-Conflent, a gorgeous village reputedly one of the top 15 prettiest in France. Established in the late 11th century by the Count of Cerdagne as a defence against the Count of Roussillon at a time when the site was on the border between France and Spain, the medieval village fortifications still surround the inhabitants. The historic centre consists of streets of attractive pink-coloured stone houses built around the 13th century and has both fortified walls and a location that has helped the town preserve its authenticity. Simply put, there is little space to expand inside such a confined environment, and outside, the walls the hills are too steep to build on! And the best bit, a host of supurb restaurants clustered along the tiny high street, mostly super affordable and perfect for after riding dining.
One mile from the small pretty campsite of Les Sauterelles, lies the unspoilt picturesque village of Fillols. Opposite the "Le Routard" approved restaurant is the village cafe bar which has a fab atmosphere, super friendly, quirky and welcome menu for "shooters" and "cocktails," a perfect partner after a day riding up and down those twisty roads. This whole place is away from the madding crowds. Love families and children as we do, but maybe not always other peoples when on holiday, so this could be a treat for aspiring adventure bikers just wanting to "get away from it all" for a short while.
