"Surpassed all my expectations. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was better than that. Excellent."

"I don't know how I'm going to better this. I know when I go home I'm going to want to go away again. Roll on Australia."

"Unbelievable, just simply fantastic. probably the best ride I have ever done. Better than I thought a ride could possibly be. Thankyou Nick and Caroline. Extremely well organised."

Expedition Australia & Tasmania 2019
The Route
Never before offered as a client rider based expedition, this is a genuine
'first'. Expedition Australia routes around the entire coastline of Australia,
a road distance of 15,823 kilometres and is completely paved. Starting
and ending in Sydney the ride will travel clockwise to include such luminary
sights as the Great Ocean Road, Melbourne, Adelaide and the famous
Nullarbor Plain, a beautiful and desolate crossing that takes the ride to
Perth. The west coast part of the ride will pass by Geraldton and Port
Hedland before continuing on to the charming small town of Broome.
There are additional sights such as the 'Bungle Bungle's' which we'll find
time to see and the top road in the Northern Territories, known as the
easy part of the Australian 'outback.' From there we will pass by Katherine,
Darwin and Cairns before 'east-coasting' down to Brisbane and Sydney.
It's debatable when is the best time to go because in the southern hemisphere
the hot summer months fall between December and March. But, regional
variations mean a great deal of rainfall falls with high humidity in the north.
The variations are less pronounced in the Australian spring around September.
Two riding days in Tasmania has now been included and will include a
return overnight ferry with cabin.
Australia is no longer an inexpensive location so to help out there is a
camping option at most of the roadhouses.
