The Route - Stage 4

After the flight from Singapore to Perth, the journey continues across the Nullarbor to the intersection of the Stuart Highway where it turns north. 3000 and some miles later Nick passes through Darwin before turning east and then south along the Gold Coast to Sydney.

Weather Conditions
Benign. Australia is a breeze and not difficult at all. It's a bit sticky at the top end but generally speaking at this time of year, it's modest to hot UK summer temperatures.

Concerns
"Definitely the wild life. The last time I rode across the Nullarbor whilst leading a group of riders around the world in 2004 I missed an Emu by inches. A group ran right in front of me and I was at speed so instead of braking I accelerated through a gap and literally saw the whites of one of the birds eyes, which was at helmet height. When I stopped later I found feathers in my air box, it was that close."
