The Spirit of Nick Sanders Tour of Morocco

Erik, supported by his back-up driver, will lead a small group of 8 riders from Algeciras into Ceuta and then into Morocco. Run for years by Nick as his 'Journey to the Edge of the Sahara', the route will continue to the sacred city of Chefchaouen where you will stay in a delightful cottage in the old medieval medina. Then you cross the mighty Atlas mountains and head towards the oasis village of Merzouga, steeped in history and right at the base of north west Sahara's largest sand dune, Erg Chebbi. You carry on along the edge of the desert until you reach the 5th century BC ksar, Ait Ben Haddou. The next day is a short day across the fabulous Tiz n Tikki Pass where you descend into Marrakesh. Here, you reside right in the heart of the cities vibrant walled city, the centre of the medina itself and have a day off. Dinner is in the fantastic market square of the Djna el Fna. The ride home includes a visit to the Atlantic coast of North West Morocco where you will stay in a delightful B & B before returning to Ceuta to catch the ferry back to Algeciras.

The Mountain Ride with Nick Sanders

This journey is planned to inspire anyone who has already ridden with Nick before. Instead of staying on the usually excellent Moroccan roads, we venture into the smaller 'white' roads, the 'B' roads if you like and those that are unclassified. Some of these roads are not tarred but are still firm and rideable even on a sports bike with a little care. This journey takes you to places few tourists go, deeply into lands where time forgot and a string of unforgettable experiences - some wild camping is included where we will make dinner in the strangest and yet most beautiful of places. A Special Experience.

The Desert Ride with Nick Sanders

The route starts off similarly to the shorter ride with Erik but includes a day off in Merzouga where travell by camel deep into the dunes to spend a night in a Berber tent where we eat dinner and then sleep under the stars. This is a magnificent experience and is included in the price. The next day we return by camel to our hotel where we change and shower and then get back onto the bike - not a moment is wasted! Nick will guide you across the back bone of the Sahara where Morocco meets Algeria. We travel further south to the Anti-Atlas Mountains, eating in restaurants known to Nick and staying in fabulous hotels with impeccable service, also known to Nick over many many years. When you ride with Nick Sanders and his team, you are buying into a family, because this is a family run business who really cares.
