Anatomy of an Adventurer is Nick Sanders'examination of what it means to be an adventurer, it includes autobiographical elements to try and find that elusive answer to the question, 'why adventure on a motorcycle?'

'Parallel Coast', the film, partners the book of the same name and is a near 4000 mile journey from Norfolk to Sussex to Wales to the Western Highlands and back down the east coast of Britain. Riding the first half on a 2009 R1 and the second half on his 2007 Parallel World R1, Nick attempts to connect a little background history and meld it into this simple adventure, and in the process attempt a different way in which a motorcycle journey is described.

This is the first of three parts and chronicles Nick's journey from London to the southern edge of the Nubian Desert. It is an extraordinary account of the first crossing of this desert, at the onset of summer, on an R1. Perhaps it states the obvious to say that Nick had no back-up support or film crew. This journey as with parts 2 and 3, is done without any on the road technical support.'

'This is the second of the trilogy of Parallel World films and describes Nick's journey from the southern edge of the Nubian Desert down to Cape Town and then across India. The adventure takes him and his R1 across magnificent Ethiopia, the tricky crossing of the Didi Gugalu Desert in Northern Kenya, Tanzania, Victoria Falls in Zambia, Namibia and into Cape Town. The ride across India is a revelation.'

'This is the final part of the trilogy of Parallel World films and describes Nick's journey down the Malay Penninsula, across Australia and then from Buenas Aires to New York. The crossing of Bolivia at 16,000 ft, off-road, is the highlight of the film. The journey also looks at Colombia before flying the bike from Bogota to Panama and continuing across Central America to Mexico and then a last dash from San Antonio to the boat at Newark.'

'Journey Beyond Reason - fastest man around the world' is Nick's film about his record breaking ride around the world in 19 days. Available only in DVD, it is a companion filmic essay to the book and records in surprising detail what it takes to ride solo around the world faster than any individual has ever attempted this before.'

I rode over Hardknott Pass to get to Mad Sunday. At the North West 200 and the Skerries I met the racers and began to realise what heroes are.
